My Final Blog 

            I have to say that I have enjoyed blogging and reading my fellow class mates blogs. Prior to this class I had never blogged. Everyone sees blogs online, but never personally done it. It was hard at times to come up with what to write about or how much to disclose. Overall it was a neat experience. I enjoyed how some of my class mates really go into their blog backgrounds.

         I was jealous that I did not spend that much time on my blog. Some were really creative. But now I know how to blog so maybe I will keep blogging. Overall it was a great semester and I learned a lot. I wish the best to Ms. Crocker and all of my fellow class mates.

                                                           The Best time ever

         The best time ever was my honeymoon in Cancun Mexico. This was about 11 years ago. We were there for about a week, but it went by so fast. It was a 2 in a half hour from LAX to Cancun Mexico. Once we arrived the temperature was super hot and humid. When we arrived to our hotel the beach view from our hotel window was amazing.

           Next day we are on search of adventure. We went on a boat ride that took us to Isla Mujeres on arrival we had to split into groups. You had to choose what you wanted to do from swimming with the dolphins, swimming with sharks or snorkeling. My husband and I chose snorkeling. There we go on the boat again. They drove for about 10 minutes in t o the ocean when they anchor the boat and we had to jump off to snorkel. Once we jumped off, it was the most amazing thing; there were so many colorful fish. I saw a huge tortoise swimming by; the school of fish with such beautiful colors would swim towards you. On our third day we went to Excaret. This was about 2 hours from our hotel. Once we arrived it was an amazing outdoor zoo. There were so many animals, they cultivate turtles and they have so many baby ones.  The tunnel swimming is amazing. We got hungry and ate at this amazing outdoor restaurant. I highly recommend it. I plan on taking my children someday.

                                       Important People in My Life

    I would say a very important person is my husband Ernesto. He is very loving, caring and outspoken. He is tall dark and handsome. When I need a pick me up he is always there to help me get focused on what I need to do. He is very supportive of me going to school to better myself. He is a typical Mexican man with old fashion believes, but since we have been together for more than half of my life. I have been able to tweak him to change his old ways in to more modern ways. We are an unstoppable team. He is important because he is the father of my three children and he loves me regardless of how bossy I can be. I love him.

    My children I will count them as one Mark, Clarissa and Yareli.  I love my children.  My son Mark is 16 and making get gray hair every day. I just ask God for patience. I am paying back for all the bad behavior I did as a teenager.  My daughter Clarisa is smart loving and caring. She recently got a letter that her poem will be published in a poem book. I was proud and bought a copy. Yareli is my baby. She is in Kinder and is doing great in school. They make me a better person. Being at home is what they enjoy the most. Most weekends we stay home and spend time together. Since we all are not home most of the day the weekend is family time starting from Friday once I pick them up from school. They are the reason that I push myself to do more for them I will do anything. Being a mom is such a rewarding gift. My children are very special to me every single day.

   My mother Adela is who I give credit for my strong side. She is 5’5 medium frame with short red hair. She is the best listener in the world. She can be feisty so don’t temp her. When you go visit her she is either in the kitchen cooking or in the back yard gardening. She loves her garden. Loving, caring, strong and outspoken are some ways of describing her. I admire her for her strength. My mother has always supported me. Even now when the kids are on vacation and I have class she never says she can’t watch my daughters. She is my best friend and I really love her.

                                                Deep Deep Dish Pizza

                          Recently Little Cesar’s introduced the deep dish pizza. It was on a Tuesday evening after work when my children in me went to Little Cesar’s Pizza and got the new deep dish pizza. My son had already tried it and said it was good. We got 2 pepperoni deep dish pizzas for dinner. I have to say, I know were all on a budget that is why I go to Little Cesar’s.  Since a  large regular is $5 dollars. A deep dish is $8 dollars and worth every penny. The pizza is thicker and much tastier and cheesier. It was like wow. It’s also much more filling than the regular large thin pizza.  Since it is thicker you get full with 2 squares versus the skinnier pizza slices. You get square pieces instead of slices.  So we went back on Thursday and bought another 2 more pizzas. They are really good. We normally don’t eat pizza that often, but since it was really good we ate it again. I mean I just pick up dinner. They can make it with different topping and it will be more than $8 dollars. I do not think that I will buy the regular pizza anymore. If you are considering trying it, you might want to order it by phone if you in a hurry. They make it when you order it.  My daughter is having a party for her class and asked me to get her one. They are good. I know that little Cesar’s falls in the category of fast food but its good. You can get a cheese one if you do not want to eat meat. I think they have a vegetarian version to. I really recommend it. You can do your own research and enjoy it or hate it.

                                           Fast Food Experience

     After reading Fast Food Nation I see beef so different. It’s like I had a blind fold all these years about beef. Reading this very interesting book made me not enjoy burgers as I used to.  On Friday night I went to my god son’s birthday and they served burgers. I ate half of my burger and was fine with it. Will I go get a hamburger now after reading about what happens in the back ground most likely not?

    As a mother I make the choices for my children on what they eat. I have decided that I will be changing our eating habits. We will still eat chicken, pork and seafood.  Beef will be once every few months. I realized that eating beef cannot be healthy based on what happened to the cattle prior to getting on my plate. It also made me realize that even though I complain about my job, there are so many other people with much worst jobs than I. Reading about all the injuries and abuse was horrible and an eye opener.

    After Fast Food Nation I will make healthier choices for my family.  I would like to thank Ms. Crocker for introducing us to this book. I think a few of us will change our eating habits.

                                                           Motivation                           

                      My truth is I got a Mercedes for my birthday.

          As for me this semester is ok. Surprisingly it’s not as stressful as last semester. I think because last semester I was attending school full time and working full time. Seriously I should not have done that to myself and family. Attending school is a self accomplishment; also by me attending it can motivate my children to further their education.

        Working full time and attending college can be a challenge.  Some days I want to go home and just go to sleep, but then I realize I have homework. As soon as I remember I snap out of my tiredness. I really try my hardest to keep up with all the assignments, but once in a while I make an error and not turn something in. I hate missing school, but my family comes first. What keeps me motivated from not taking at least one semester off is the finish line. I feel that if I keep motivated in completing all of my classes I will graduate. After attending college for a while you do tend to get board and tired.  That also motivates me to keep attending focus on my goal of completing all my classes.  You’re hard work and earned credits keep me going to class.

        Once you attend class its fine. I also sit and wonder what I used to do before school; I think I would just sit in front of the couch. By me attending school it keeps me motivated and very busy.  I have to admit I have learned a lot of different things I would not have known if I had not attended college. It is never late to learn new things I think we learn at least one new thing every day.
