Interview with a student

    Well I had the pleasure of interviewing and getting to know a little about my classmate Patricia Rocha Wilson. She was born in Oxnard, but moved a lot during her childhood.  She is Mexican American she has been married for 10 years. 

   Do to the lack of education in her family; she decided she would be the first of her family to graduate from College. She attends College full time; her schedule is Tuesday thru Thursdays. She is taking 4 classes in total. She balances her school and taking care of her father as her full time job. Patricia has no role models; she likes to be herself and pushes herself to achieve her own goals.  Three words she would use to describe herself are honest, nice, and confident. Her academic goals include receiving her Bachelors in Business Administration and someday she would love to have her own business.

   Patricia’s motto is not to settle, push for what you want; you are the only one that can motivate you. She likes the new buildings at Oxnard College.  We all have to agree with her about the area at Oxnard College that needs the most improving the parking lot. When she first decided to attend College what surprised her was the people were all ages and this makes it comfortable for anyone to return to college without feeling you may not fit in.
